 Mary-Jo has over 25 years experience in the tourism industry and an in-depth knowledge of the Okanagan and the needs and barriers of the local infrastructure. She has a special interest in enhancing business performance with information technology.
Previous career experience includes participating as a key player at Community Futures Development Corporation where Mary-Jo developed and implemented marketing strategies, which increased business to an all time high. She has also served as the Managing Director of Vernon Tourism for eight years; Sales Manager at the Lake Louise Inn and the Banff Springs Hotel; Director of Sales for the Westwater Hotel Group in Vancouver, BC; and Travel Industry Sales Representative with Expo 86 where her sales surpassed targets by over 150%.
Mary-Jo has a Master of Business Administration from Athabasca University. She speaks English and French and sits on numerous boards and Committees where she shares her vision, time and knowledge with the business and education community.
